“Just tell him it wasn’t you.”
That’s the advice Grammy-winning singer Shaggy gives actress Mila Kunis when she’s confronted by husband Ashton Kutcher for stealing his snack in a 2021 Super Bowl ad that every man on the planet can relate to.
The Jamaican reggae icon teamed up with the celebrity couple (who are married in real life!) to reprise the singer’s popular single from 2000, “It Wasn’t Me” . . . but with a cheesy twist.
Literally.
The catchy commercial follows the threesome as they remix Shaggy’s megahit and adapt the lyrics to show Kunis sneaking around the house with a bag of Kutcher’s Cheetos Crunch Pop Mix. Kutcher attempts to catch his wife snacking in multiple situations, like at the kitchen counter, on the sofa, in the shower, and on the doorbell camera.
Kunis’s excuse every time?
“It wasn’t me.”
Even though the evidence is all over her face. And fingers. And the wall.

Is this not the story of every man’s struggle or what?
We all knew we’d be signing up for “What’s yours is mine” when we got married, but none of us were fully prepared for that to extend to our snacks, too.
Of course, Shaggy chimes in with his own two cents:
“You the one who granted access to your snacks/ Don’t act surprised that she sneak behind ya back/ You gotta keep tabs before she empty that bag/ Let’s review the situation, orange fingers red flag,” he raps in his signature Jamaican accent.
Even the timing couldn’t be better: “It Wasn’t Me” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 exactly 21 years ago, on February 2, 2000.
(As if we needed another reason to feel old.)
The commercial ends with Kunis standing in front of her husband, the traces of orange powder around her mouth a telltale sign of guilt.
“Well, did you?” Kutcher asks.
“Wasn’t me!” she insists.
Dramatic pause, and then . . .
Kutcher shrugs and turns away.
“Oh. OK.”
A shocked Shaggy laughs and pans to the camera:
“Well, that’s the first time that’s ever worked.”
So thank you, Cheetos, for a commercial that’s not only based on every husband’s reality and takes us back to the good ol’ years, but delivers a much-needed laugh as well.
